The
purpose of the Budget Committee is to publicly review
the proposed budget, receive the budget message, provide
opportunity for the public-input, approve a fiscal budget
as well as a tax rate or amount of tax for all funds
that receive property taxes.Established
pursuant to ORS 294.336.It
is comprised of the City Commission and five additional residents
of Oregon City. The City residents have three-year terms that expire
in December.The
Mayor makes the appointments.
The Oregon City Budget Committee will hold a public hearing at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, April 21, 2008, at the Pioneer Community Center, 615 5th St., Oregon City. The public is invited to attend.
