City Hall Ribbon Cutting & Open House

The City of Oregon City held it's official ribbon cutting and grand opening on December 18, 2009, with approximately 300 people in attendance from all over the region and city.

It was a grand affair with music, hors d'oeuvres, building tours and speeches by Mayor Alice Norris, City Manager Larry Patterson, Community Services Director Scott Archer, and the Urban Renewal Chair, Don Slack.

The new city hall is a renovation of the former McLean Clinic and is located at 625 Center Street, at the corner of 7th and Center Streets. City offices moved and began operations on November 10, 2009. The building and land were purchased with urban renewal dollars.

Many who attended the open house commented that they had either visited the building when it was the medical clinic as patients or had taken their children to the clinic. Even Mrs. McLean herself stopped by to see how her former home and business had been transformed into such a wonderful use.
