After working hard to address financial difficulties this year, Clackamas Heritage Partners, the management company that oversaw the operations, ultimately closed the doors in September 2009 to the End of the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center and The Museum of the Oregon Territories. The curatorial functions will remain for the time being at the Museum of the Oregon Territories, however, it too is now closed to the public. As the Stevens-Crawford house is run by volunteers, it will stay open for public visits. The City of Oregon City realizes how important these facilities are and is working to come up with a solution.
