Request for Proposal for EOT Site

The City of Oregon City is seeking consulting services of a Firm or Individual who will guide a public process to develop a long-range operations plan for the End of the Oregon Trail

(EOT) site in Oregon City.

Oregon City is the official and federally recognized End of the Oregon Trail, as well as the capital of the first Provisional government. The EOT is located at a site often identified as the end of the Barlow Road portion of the Oregon Trail. Located on Abernethy Green, this site is where pioneers arrived to file their land claims at Oregon City, the capitol of the Oregon Territory at that time.

This Consultant will assist the City in formulating a task force committee that will help guide the process and lead the group in developing an overall vision for the Center. The Consultant will lead the task force in exploring all programs and ideas presented as potential program offerings to be performed or housed at the EOTIC. The Consultant and task force will also analyze the financial feasibility of the various program options and assess the capability of each one as to its ability to sustain the Center financially, ensuring that funding sources and subsidy requirements are determined.
