Candidate Handbook

Congratulations on your candidacy for office at the City of Oregon City.

Information in the form of Web site links has been assembled below to provide a general overview of the City organization and current issues of interest to you as a candidate. The information will assist in familiarizing you with the organization, its operations, important issues, and current projects underway.

Questions are welcome throughout the campaign using the following guidelines. Please observe this process for requests for information so we can best assist you:

        1.       Limit staff inquiries to the City Recorder
2.       Questions should be submitted in writing using our public records request process/form or via e-mail to the City Recorder at recorder@orcity.org
3.       Research and copy charges will apply to all requests. The first ½ hour of research is at no cost, per policy.

Thank you for stepping forward and placing your name on the November ballot. Serving one’s community as an elected official is a challenging, but rewarding experience and a challenge that few are willing to accept. Thank you for your courage and interest in service to our community.
