May 18, 2010 Election
The ballot for the City of Oregon City's May 18, 2010 election will include two annexations.
Annexation No. 09-01
BALLOT MEASURE NO:
CAPTION:
Expands Oregon City boundaries to include additional land.
QUESTION:
Shall a 0.55 acre county island north of Glen Oak Road be annexed into the Oregon City city limits?
SUMMARY:
This measure would expand the City’s boundaries by approximately 0.55 acres by including within the City property described as follows:
A county island of 0.55-acres comprised of one (1) tax lot located in the southwest section of the City, north of Glen Oak Road and west of Beavercreek Road. The property is identified as Clackamas County Map 3S-2E-9DD, Tax Lot 3400.
The proposal was submitted to annex a county island and allow future connection to city services for future development. The property is vacant and is currently zoned FU-10 "Future urbanizable" and is located within the City's UGB. The County's "Oregon City Area Land Use Plan" designates the property Medium Denisity Residential. The City Commission has concluded that it meets all state, regional and City requirements for annexation into the City and services can be adequately provided to the property.

BALLOT MEASURE NO:
CAPTION:
Expands Oregon City boundaries to include additional land.
QUESTION:
Shall 54 acres in the northeast part of the City be annexed into the Oregon City city limits?
SUMMARY:
This measure would expand the City’s boundaries by approximately 54 acres by including within the City limits 8 tax lots located on the south side of Holcomb Boulevard and north of Redland Road. The properties are identified as Clackamas County Map 2S-2E-27B, Tax Lots 600, 800, 900, 1000 and 1080 and 2S-2E-28D, Tax Lots 100, 180 and 190.
The proposal was submitted to allow connection to city services for existing and future development. The properties contain five single-family dwellings, are zoned FU-10 and RRFF-5, are designated Medium Density Residential and are located within the City’s UGB.
The City Commission has concluded that all state, regional and City requirements for annexation have been met and services can be provided to the proeprty. The City Charter requires vote approval of annexations. A map showing the parcels is included.
