Oregon City, Oregon 97045 New #: 503-722-3789
Fax #: 503-722-3880
The Planning Department Counter is open from 8 am to 1pm Monday - Friday.
The
Planning Division is responsible
for all long range and current
planning as well as the
implementation of the Oregon
City Comprehensive Plan.
The Oregon City Comprehensive
Plan is implemented through
a series of adopted Ordinances
(Chapter 16 & 17 of the
Oregon City Municipal Code).
Development in Oregon City
requires planning, engineering
and building approval. Depending
on the type of development,
the planning process ranges
from staff approval to review
by the Planning Commission
and City Commission.
If a planning action is
required, a staff report
is provided after the applicant
has met with staff in a
pre-application conference.
The "pre-app" provides the
applicant with a cursory
review of the project from
all City departments to
determine the requirements
for each department.
For additional information
on the planning process,
please feel free to give
us a call at 503-657-0891
to get you started in the
right direction. The City
provides copies of both
the Oregon City Municipal
Code and Comprehensive Plan
for a nominal fee.
