Project Schedule

The concept planning process began in February of 2006 with the selection of the consulting team to assist with the project. The effort is expected to be completed by May, 2007. Major steps and milestones in the process include the following:

May, 2006 - Establish the Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) and Technical Advisory Committee (TAC)

May to June, 2006 – Prepare the Public Involvement Plan, Preliminary Goals and Committee Guidelines

June to August, 2006 – Establish the Existing Conditions, Opportunities and Constraints

July, 2006 – Conduct the Market Focus Group

August, 2006 - Conduct the Sustainability Focus Group and hold the first Open House

August to September, 2006 – Review Project Goals and Prepare Evaluation Criteria

September to October, 2006 – Prepare Alternative Concept Plans, Infrastructure Plans, Cost Estimates and Fiscal Impacts

October, 2006 - Conduct the Design Workshop

October, 2006 to January, 2007 – Prepare a Draft Concept Plan

February, 2007 - Conduct the second Open House

March, 2007 to May, 2007 – Prepare the Final Concept Plan, Comprehensive Plan and Code Amendments and Adoption Process
