The purpose of the committee is to make recommendations
to the City Commission, the Planning
Commission, the Parks and Recreation Advisory
Committee
and through the City Manger to City
Departments. The Natural Resource Committee
(NRC)
was established by Ordinance No. 02-1013,
which
went into effect
on September 20, 2002. NRC consists
of seven (7) members appointed for three-year
terms
with
staggered terms for the initial board.
The members of the Committee shall reside,
work
in or own
business with the City of Oregon City’s
Urban Growth Boundary (UGB). The Committee
shall
review the quality of air, water and
land with the UGB
and assist in the development and implementation
of plans and policies to protect, restore
and enhance the environmental quality
with the
UGB. Please refer to Ordinance No.
