Improving passenger rail in Oregon
The Oregon Passenger Rail project is studying options for improved passenger rail service between the Columbia River in the Portland urban area and the Eugene-Springfield urban area – an approximately 125 mile segment. The Oregon Department of Transportation is in the beginning stages of an environmental review process that will help determine a general rail alignment and communities where stations will be located. The project will also determine the number of daily trips between Eugene and Portland, travel time objectives, and the technologies to be used. To learn more, visit www.OregonPassengerRail.org
