Potholes that need filling, abandoned vehicles, and graffiti that needs removing can be reported using iPhone and Android smart phones, as well as the Oregon City Web Page, with the City of Oregon City’s application OC Request!
OC Request! provides citizens with a tracking number and direct communication with the City department responsible for each issue. Anonymous requests, photos, and attachments can also be submitted. Using the mobile phone application, submit a photo and the precise location directly to the right person who can find and fix the issue.
Oregon City is already receiving tremendous benefits from technology. Utility workers can receive, map, and resolve issues from the field. Now, using OC Request!, the City can harness the resources of the entire community to address issues of concern.
Connect with someone who can help – on the go and around the clock – without making a trip or phone call to City Hall, Public Works or Oregon City Police. Citizens can also receive status updates on active issues.
The GPS and camera features built into the Android and iPhone platforms make it simple to alert Oregon City officials about any issue - and know that it is sent to the right person without ever going to an office or sitting down at a computer. Smart phone users simply open the application, select an issue, and take a picture – the application knows the exact location and who can fix it.
The smart phone application can be downloaded by searching for “GoRequest” in the Android Market or App Store. There is no charge to download the application.
