Community Development is responsible for guiding growth and development within the city limits, and includes the Planning, Building , and GIS divisions. We also work closely with the City and Planning Commissions, businesses, and residents in shaping development policies
The Community Development department is responsible for guiding growth and development in Oregon City. The department oversees the following:
Planning Department - The planning function assists the city commission and community in developing polices and regulations that guide development, review and approve development applications.
Building - The building division ensures that structures are built according to building codes through the review of plans and inspections.
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) - GIS provides citywide support and mapping through spatial analysis, reporting, database integration, and website applications.
