On February, 22, 2011, Lloyd Purdy, Executive Director of Oregon City's Downtown program, Main Street Oregon City, was honored by the Daily Journal of Commerce as a 2011 Newsmaker.  Lloyd was one of only 18 recipients of this year's award. Lloyd, along with a host of dedicated MSOC members, business owners and volunteers, has played an integral part in putting downtown OC on the map and bringing recognition to new innovative programs, such as the Blue Collar Creative, and growth in businesses over the past few years.
