WATER RATES effective 01/01/2010

Single Family Residence: $12.68 plus $2.12 for each 100 cubic feet of water consumed
Multiple Dwellings: $10.14 per unit plus $2.12 for each 100 cu. ft. of water consumed
Low income rate: $6.34 plus $1.68 for each 100 cubic feet of water consumed

Rates and fees are set by the City Commission. If you have comments and concerns related to Utility Billing rates, please attend one of the regular City Commission sessions.

The rate of $1.68 per 100 cubic feet is for winter water usage for qualified applicants.
Usage over the winter water average will be charged at the normal user rate of $2.12 per 100 cu ft.

Commercial rates are based on a calculation of square footage, average daily trips and type of business.
Low Income rate $ 3.00 | *Based on Low Income Requirements
How much will I pay?
Single-family residential properties will be charged $4.50 per month the first year. The fee will increase
annually by $1.50 per month for each of the next three years with a $2.00 per month increase the fifth
year. Multi-family residential units will be charged about 70% of the single-family fee.

Non-residential bills depend upon the type and size of the development.
Five business groups were established based on similar trip rates per square feet of gross floor area (GFA). In the first year, business charges will range from $0.154 to $7.70 per square feet of GFA, depending on the type of use and trip generation. This range will gradually increase to $0.384 to $19.20 per square foot of GFA over the following four years.
