The Human Resource Department works with the City Manager, department directors and employees in areas of recruitment, classification, compensation, training, benefits, labor/employee relations and related human resource functions. The Human Resource department supports the City’s efforts to attract, develop, and retain a diverse and productive workforce that is capable of providing quality services to the citizens of Oregon City.

The efficiency and effectiveness with which City services are delivered to the public depends, in large part, on the quality and motivation of the workforce providing those services. The City’s employees are its most important asset in accomplishing its varied goals and objectives.
