Thank you for your interest in employment with the City of Oregon City. Below is a list of guidelines for the application process

- Read and complete required application materials as required by each positing on the Job Openings page.
- Faxed application materials are accepted by the closing date and time, however originals must be mailed and received by the City to be considered going forward in the process. E-MAILED application materials are not accepted unless specifically stated.
- Allow 2 weeks from date of closing to hear from us regarding status of your application. You will be notified of your status via mail or telephone.
- There may be one or several interviews dependent upon the position applied for.
- If you are chosen to fill a position your employment will be contingent upon passing a background check per City Ordinance 01-1031. As a rule this form will be given to you only when you are a finalist except for Police positions.
- You may be required to pass a pre-employment drug test dependent upon the position applied for.
