SALARY: $24.08/hr. - $33.08/hr. (Salary subject to change depending on finalization of AFSCME union contract) plus excellent fringe benefits including 6% PERS pick-up. AFSCME represented position.

About the Job: This position will coordinate and participate in planning, design, and construction of capital improvement programs for municipal transportation, wastewater, water, and stormwater systems. Requires engineering knowledge for maintenance, improvement, and new construction projects.
Requirements and Qualifications: This position requires a bachelor’s degree with a major in civil engineering or a closely related discipline and two years of progressively responsible engineering experience. Also requires a valid driver’s license and registration as an Engineer-in-Training. This position must possess the skills needed to maintain effective working relationships with business owners, developers, residents, other City employees, and various regulatory agencies.

Other qualities would be the ability to use good judgment and be committed to excellence; and be able to organize and express thoughts clearly to their peers and the public.
