Teen Book Reviews
Here’s how it works…
For 12 to 18 year olds. Write a review of a book that you loved, liked, loathed, or just felt “blah” about. Fill out one of our book review forms (please tell us what you liked, loathed, or felt blah about specifically). Submit your review and get 50 cents off of your library fines for every review that you write (limit 50 cents off per week, though you can write as many reviews as you want), and get your name entered to win a Barnes and Noble gift card (we’ll enter your name once for each review you submit—so the more you write, the more likely it is that you’ll win!).
But, wait, there are some rules…
1. Please no spoilers! Most of us enjoy not knowing what happens at the end of the book (or significant things that happen in the beginning or middle, for that matter) so please don’t give away things about a book’s plot or characters that will ruin it for others.
2. Please don’t use bad language in your review. Let’s keep it clean, folks.
3. The books you review don’t have to be from the young adult section (juvenile books and books from the adult collection are fine, as well) and they don’t have to be owned by this library. Also, you can review a series of books in one review if you want (like all three of the Hunger Games Trilogy in one review).
4. If you choose to return your review to the library please don’t put your review directly in the binder. Please hand it in at one of the desks in the library.
5. Have fun
You can submit your book review form in one of two ways:
•After completing the form, click 'Submit'. Your suggestions will automatically be emailed to Jennie Chamberlin.
•Print, fill out and submit your form in person at the Oregon City Public Library (Binder located in Young Adult section).
