Located on Frontier Parkway off Leland Road on the southern end of Oregon City, Wesley Lynn is the first new park to be developed since Chapin Park opened in 1983. This area was identified as a high priority for acquisition and development a number of years ago in our parks master plan. The property was purchased in 1998 from the Oregon City School District using parks system development charges (SDC’s) collected from new development within the City.

This first phase of the park’s development covers about 13.5 acres, and includes two baseball/softball fields, two soccer/multipurpose fields, walking paths, covered picnic shelter, large playground structure, parking lot, and lots of open space. This phase of development cost a total of just under $1 million and was funded through a combination of parks SDC’s and a federal Land & Water Conservation Fund grant.Wesley Lynn playground

Future phases of the development will include the addition of a restroom /concession building, lighting for one of the two ball fields, additional walking paths and other features.
