Statement of Significance: C.O.T. Williams was a prominent citizen of Oregon City who held a great deal of real estate. If this structure was the residence of C.O.T. Williams, it is significant for that reason. The house is certainly significant for its age, considering that it is one of the oldest houses in the City and most definitely the oldest by far in this area of the City. The house retains very good integrity of materials and form, and is significant for its architectural merit. This house definitely warrants additional research, since it most likely stood alone in this area for a long time, and probably has a very interesting history.
