122 S Center Street

The Oregon City Public Works building at 122 South Center Street is typical of government buildings of the 1930s. Its style could be described as WPA (Works Project Administration) Moderne. The concrete structure is rectangular with a flat roof. The elevations are divided into bays by stylized pilasters cast into the concrete. Each bay features a large window. These probably had metal sashes until recently, when there were replaced with vinyl windows with faux grids. A concrete shop building with an arched roof was probably added to the structure in the 1940s.
