Statement of Significance: Clark Fuge came to Oregon from Illinois. He was a day laborer. The structures surrounding the Fuge House are much younger than it is, and are of a much more horizontal emphasis. This house retains all of its original features (siding, cornerboards, rakeboards and architrave molding trim). The front porch with blind balustrade and scuppers is most likely an alteration. The house also has a view of the Willamette Valley.
