807 S. McLoughlin Blvd. - Kenneth Jones Residence c.1941

Statement of Significance: Kenneth Jones was the son of Henry and Ellen Blanchard Jones (see 808 1st Avenue). Prior to World War II, he worked as a deckhand on the dredge "Monticello," which regularly plied the route between Canemah and Salem on the Willamette River. He also worked as a seismographer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on various dam sites in Oregon. After the war, he became a carpenter. The house is basically an undistinguished early 1940s dwelling. It is a compatible structure within the Canemah National Register Historic District.
