Statement of Significance: No biographical information was found on Arthur and Maria White, the original owners of 904 Pierce Street. Although the house suffers from in appropriate exterior siding, its shape and gable pitch reinforce the streetscape as determined by the more impressive (architecturally and socially) Story House, which occupies the adjoining lot. The unusual diagonal front entrance and slender columns have not been altered. A nearby property owner indicates that the house was probably moved from 7th and Monroe Streets (where Olson Drug is today).
