Statement of Significance: George Turner was a logger for Crown-Willamette Paper Company. His wife, Florence McCord Turner, was a daughter of William McCord, Canemah steamboat captain. The house is a simple cottage of no particular significance. It has some interest because of its association with steamboat captain William McCord through his daughter, Florence. In the Canemah NR District, it is classified as Compatible.
