50/50 matching grant program for Locally Designated Homes
2012-2013
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Historic Property Owner;
Congratulations on choosing to own an historic property in Oregon City. As a historic property owner, you have been given the opportunity to help preserve a part of Oregon’s history. Until now, historic owners have had little support in maintaining or repairing their buildings. The Historic Review Board and the City of Oregon City recognize that with local historic designation should come some amount of assistance. With that in mind, the Historic Review Board would like to announce that funding has been secured for the 2012-2013 local Historic Matching Grant Program. This is the fifth year of what hopes to be a very successful program.
Enclosed you will find the grant application packet, which describes the process, as well as a description of projects that are eligible for grant approval. This year’s grant monies total $5,000. In response to reduced funding, the Preservation Grant awards will be limited to a maximum of $1,000 dollars. New applicants may apply starting September 1, 2012. Applicants who have already received grant funding in previous cycles must wait till January 1, 2013 to apply for the grant program if money is still available.
If you have any questions about the grant process or the City’s Preservation Program, please call Christina Robertson-Gardiner, Associate Planner at the Planning Division, 503.496.1564 or visit our website
