01-26-15 - OC Shooting Appears to be Domestic Violence
On January 26, 2015 around 1:48 pm Oregon City Police received the report of a domestic disturbance between a husband in wife in the area of Meyers Rd and Gaffney Ln. The victim reported her husband was shooting at her, while they were driving in separate vehicles.
The victim, identified as 54 year old female from Oregon City, was able to escape her husband and contact local police. She was located in the neighborhood with help from a Good Samaritan and transported to a local area hospital for gunshot wounds she received during the incident.
The husband, identified as a 55 year old Oregon City resident, was located by Oregon City Police in his vehicle not far from the initial call location. Oregon City Police, the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, and OSP contacted the husband in his vehicle who had what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was transported to a local area hospital for his gunshot wound.
Oregon City Police Detectives and the Clackamas County Major Crimes teams are currently investigating the shooting, which appears to be related to domestic violence. The names of the victim and suspect are not being released at this time.
Gaffney Lane Elementary School and North Clackamas Christian School were put in a lock out as a precautionary measure due to their proximity to the original call location. Both Schools have been returned to normal status.

12-23-14 MASKED BURGLAR TARGETS OREGON CITY RESTAURANTS
Oregon City Police are investigating two commercial burglaries which occurred early Monday morning on December 15, 2014 at the Danielson's Hilltop shopping center. The suspect broke through the front doors at Jimmy Johns Gourmet Sandwiches and Casa Ixtapa Restaurant, which are both located on the 400 block of Beavercreek Road. The suspect targeted the cash registers at both businesses. He was captured by video surveillance inside the Jimmy Johns attempting to break into the safe. The suspect's head was covered with a blue and white checkered hoodie and mask during the burglary. Oregon City Police are asking anyone with information regarding these burglaries or who recognizes the suspect in the video surveillance to call the Oregon City Tip Line at (503)496-1616. 12-22-14 CARS VANDALIZED IN OREGON CITY; TIPS SOUGHT
Three vehicles were vandalized near the 600 block of Willamette Street in Oregon City over the weekend. Oregon City Police took the report Sunday morning after a homeowner found his vehicle had been sprayed with blue paint on the hood, bumper, and emblem of his vehicle. A second resident's vehicle and neighbor's vehicle were also sprayed with blue paint by the suspect. The vandalism occurred sometime between 10:30 pm on Saturday, December 20th and 2:00 am on Sunday, December 21st.
