Narrative of Incident:
On March 14, 2004 at 11:40 p.m., an Oregon City Police Officer stopped a 1985 Ford Mustang for a traffic violation on Hwy 213 near Meyers Rd. A passenger in the vehicle ran when the vehicle came to a stop. Additional officers and our canine unit quickly responded to the area and set up a perimeter. The subject was located when he tried to leave a nearby apartment complex by hiding in another vehicle. James T. Hayes was found to have an arrest warrant for Robbery I through the Portland FBI office for the March 2, 2004 robbery of the US Bank located at 1600 Molalla Avenue, Oregon City. Mr. Hayes was also charged with Felon In Possession of a Weapon when a .22 handgun was found in the original vehicle he was riding in. The weapon was found in the center console of the vehicle. Mr. Hayes was lodged at the Clackamas County Jail.
