Advisory Group

The group acts as a two-way conduit funneling information, concerns and issues from the citizenry to the police and fire departments, and returning information, plans, problems, etc. to the public. They aid in development of community policing and community fire prevention programs; and to promote appropriate issues to the general public.

The committee is made up of members from the following with:

Three members from business
One from Clergy
One from the District Attorney’s Office
One from the Clackamas County Housing Authority
One representative from each neighborhood association
Two from education (one staff and one student)
One from Oregon City Municipal Court
One from OCPEA (police department union)
One from Local 1159 – IAFF (fire department union)
One from the Oregon City Amateur Radio Operators group
One from the Oregon City CERT group

Meetings are held on a monthly basis between September and May on the third Tuesday of the month at 6:00 PM. Meetings are normally held at the Oregon City Police Department located at 320 Warner Milne Road in the Court Chambers.
