High School is scary for students and parents. The Oregon City Police Department is holding the September "Meet Your Police" Meeting at the Oregon City High School. Our goal is to educate parents and teens about the REAL dangers that exist for teens. Officers and Detectives are there when things go wrong and we are looking forward to an opportunity to prevent some of these things before they happen.
School Resource Officer Dave Edwins and Lt. Jim Band will make a presentation on the myths versus realities of teen dangers, followed by a Question and Answer session. The focus will be on educating kids and giving them tips to help identify risky situations and behaviors. The class is for students and parents; individually or together. Refreshments will be provided.
If you have any questions, please call Officer Dave Edwins at 503-496-1586 Ext. 711 or by email at dedwins@orcity.org. You can also email Lt. Jim Band at jband@orcity.org.
