Patrol Division

The Patrol Division of the Oregon City Police Department is supervised by a lieutenant and, at full strength, is comprised of five sergeants and twenty-one officers. Two officers are assigned as  K-9 handlers. The primary duties of the Patrol Division are to protect the lives and property of the citizens of Oregon City. This is accomplished through the apprehension of criminals,responding to emergency and non-emergency calls for service,the enforcement of traffic laws, and the prevention of crime through education efforts and the utilization of effective patrol strategies. In 2006 Oregon City Police Department responded to 15,000 9-1-1 emergency calls. The officers of the Patrol Division are highly trained and motivated. Their ability to effectively respond to and resolve community concerns provides an invaluable service to the citizens of Oregon City.
