Records Unit Police Records Specialists are non-sworn personnel who are responsible for data entry, control, maintenance and retrieval of police reports. The records unit assists with citizen-inquiries both in person and on the telephone. The unit is comprised of three Police Records Specialists and the Records Manager. In 2008, the records unit processed approximately 4251 case reports (includes: crime, custodies, field contact reports, person and vehicle) and 3694 traffic citations (with 5082 total charges).
