Support

The Support Division of the Oregon City Police Department consists of a lieutenant, detective sergeant, four detectives, two community service officers, one property officer and reserve officers. Support provides the inner working resources to keep the police department functioning day to day to include assisting operations when necessary.

When a patrol officer takes a report of a serious person or property crime the detective division will be contacted to respond. The detective division will take over the investigation until the case is suspended or adjuicated in court. Our community service officers assist patrol by taking no suspect minor crime reports over the phone or at the front counter. They also assist the support lieutenant in making sure the patrol fleet is functioning at its most efficient level.

The property officer controls all property that is brought in the police department by the patrol officers and  is available to go out to a crime scene to fingerprint or collect evidence.

The reserve unit is the department's community policing group that works fairs, parades, football games and other events.

The Support Division is an important part of the Oregon City Police Department.  The men and women that work in this division are committed to the organization and the community their serve.
