  • 2009 Pavement Rehabilitation

The 2009 Pavement Rehabilitation Project was awarded to Brix Paving Company out of Tualatin, Oregon.

The work authorized by this contract is a major component of the City’s annual maintenance commitment funded through the City’s Pavement Maintenance Utility Fee (PMUF). The projects included within the contract include segments of 15th Street, Warner Parrott Road, Central Point Road, Center Street, 3rd Avenue, and Hedges Street. Segments of 15th Street, Warner Parrott Road, and Center Street were identified as project needs during the PMUF approval and Public meeting process. A short segment of Central Point Road was added to the list of project due to poor condition and coordination with Warner Milne Road. Segments of Third Avenue and Hedges Street, located in the Canemah Neighborhood were follow up overlay projects to mitigate the pavement damages left from a water, sewer and storm utility improvement project completed in 2008.

The required work involves 7860 square yards of milling, 2945 tons of asphalt paving, 143 lineal feet of replacement concrete curbing, 382 square feet of replacement sidewalk, 135 lineal feet of storm drain pipe, 4 catch basins, and 260 cubic yards of general excavation. Also included under this scope of work is the associated and impacted signal detection loops, pavement striping, and provisions for erosion and traffic control.
