Development Services, within the Public Works Department, Engineering Group, is led by the City Engineer and provides the professional engineering services and consultation to various City departments and the general public for private development. 

Development Services works closely with the Planning Division, Public Works Operations, Capital Projects, and the Erosion Control Officer providing engineering review and comments for subdivision, partition, and site plan reviews, community development ordinance updates, street & easement vacations, transportation reviews, and assists with commenting on new development sites. Development Services also ensures close coordination of private and public projects within the city, adequate and up-to-date policies and engineering standards, calculating system development charges (SDC), and coordinated inspections of both private and public infrastructure projects.

We provide services such as:

• New / redevelopment of private civil plan reviews
• Subdivision / partition plat reviews
• Street / alley and utility easement vacations
• Right-of-way permits / inspections
