
Want to gain balance and coordination while learning some self-defense? Why not try out Karate!
Kenpo Karate is a beginner/intermediate level class for ages 6 years and up. Learn self-defense skills in a martial arts system originating hundreds of years ago in China. Kenpo karate will teach you physical and mental self-defense skills which are both usable and practical. Technical skills will include situations, ju-jitsu holds, ground skills, balance and coordination drills, and relaxation exercises.
Uniforms are optional. Information will be provided at the first class.
Classes are held Monday & Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 7:00 pm in the community room at the OC Pool.
Classes begin on June 25th and go to July 12th for a total of 6 group lessons.
Fees: $69 Resident/$89 Non-Resident

****A Kumite Karate class may be added to the Kenpo Karate Class. This is a sparring class. Special equipment is required for safe participation; see instructor David Barnes for more information. Students must be enrolled in Kenpo Karate to take Kumite Karate.
This class is held on Monday evenings from 7:00 to 7:30 pm (right after the Kenpo Karate class)
This class begins on June 25th and ends on July 12th.
The additional fee for this class is: $40 Resident/$54 Non-Resident
