The City hired AMS Planning & Research to conduct a community vision and planning study to help determine programming and use of the End of the Oregon Trail Site. The study was conducted between April 2010 and October 2010 and comprised three task force meetings, over 40 stakeholder meetings and an internet survey that was active for one month.
Oregon City’s non-profit Main Street Oregon City received the first ever State of Oregon’s Excellence in Downtown Revitalization Innovation Award for the non-profit’s Blue Collar Creative business recruitment initiative. Oregon State’s First Lady, Mary Oberst, presented the award to Oregon City’s Downtown Manager Lloyd Purdy at a conference focused on downtown revitalization this week.
Oregon City resident, Laura Rambo was nominated for the State of Oregon’s Excellence in Downtown Revitalization Volunteer of the Year by the non-profit Main Street Oregon City in May of this Year.
