Fitness & Sports

Fitness classes take place at either the Pioneer Community Center or the Oregon City Swimming Pool. The Oregon City Swimming Pool has both aquatic classes, and land based classes in their large community room space onsite.

Tuesday and Thursday 7:30am to 8:30am

For all ages. Bring light and mid-weight dumbbell weights and wear tennis shoes. Tuesdays 

YOGA FOR LIFE

Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays  7:30am to 8:45am

Open to all ages. This Hatha practice focuses on flexibility, strength, balance, and joy. We use special alignment techniques to help avoid injury and that guide our poses and attention towards a therapeutic and transformative experience.  Bring a yoga mat and wear loose clothing

Current Water Exercise Classes

Shallow Water Exercise

Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:00 am to 9:00 am.
Tuesday and Thursday 6:15 pm to 7:15 pm

Work out in waist-to-chest-deep water that is easy on the joints and body. The workout includes a warm-up, stretching, aerobic exercise and cool down. Recommended for all ages.

Deep Water Exercise

Tuesday and Thursday 6:15 pm to 7:15 pm

We will work on building strength and flexibility while having fun! All abilities are welcome, choice of workout intensity will be offered. We have Aqua belts (flotation belt that is worn around waist to offer buoyancy and keep head out of water and water at chest level). Good for those recovering from surgery and joint injuries, expecting mother and anyone looking for a fun and exciting workout.

Shallow Stretching & Light Cardio

Tuesday and Thursday: 8:00 am to 9:00 am.

This program combines the buoyancy of water and the soothing warmth of our heated pool (86 degrees), to offer a safe, ideal environment for relieving arthritis pain and stiffness. Gentle movements used in the program increase joint flexibility and range of motion while restoring or maintaining muscle strength.
