2023 Teen Summer Reading Challenge

Welcome to the 2023 Teen Summer Reading Challenge, where readers aged 12 to 17 earn rewards for reading all summer long.

Summer Reading registration opens June 1, 2023! Register online or in the free Beanstack app.

Here's how you complete your Bingo card:

1. The Bingo Card (PDF) (Español [PDF]) - Each square on the Bingo card represents a different reading challenge. Read a book that meets the specific genre or complete the activity listed in the square.
2. Earn Prize Drawing Tickets - For each Bingo square that you complete, you will earn 1 ticket.

• Complete 5 squares in a row and earn 2 additional tickets. Complete the entire card and get 3 additional tickets.
• You can track your reading offline using our optional print-at-home reading log in English and Spanish, but your reading must be entered in Beanstack to earn rewards and prize drawing tickets.
• Review each Bingo challenge by clicking the squares in the Bingo card. Once you have completed a book, return to the square and fill out the prompt.
• You can see the full list of challenges under the "Badges" section in Beanstack.

And here are the rewards you earn:

• Free Book at Signup - Stop by the upstairs service desk starting June 1 to pick up your free book.
• 5 in a Row $5 Bookstore Gift Card - Stop by the upstairs service desk to pick up your $5 gift card for the Friends of the Library bookstore.
• Blackout Free Ice Cream From Mike's Drive-in - Stop by the upstairs service desk to pick up your ice cream token. (Food allergies? Ask us about an alternate prize option.)
• Grand Prize Drawing - Enter your tickets in the Ticket Drawing tab by Thursday, August 31 at 11:59 pm for a chance to win a gift card or the teen book basket.

Summer Reading Program runs through August 31, 2023.

Prize drawing winners will be chosen on September 1, 2023.
