August 23, 2022 Special Mayoral Election

Oregon City will have a Special Election on August 23, 2022 to elect a new Mayor. This candidate will fill the vacancy left after the resignation of Rachel Lyles Smith with the term ending December 31, 2022.

The following candidates have been certified for the ballot:

  • Allen Bedore (No voter's pamphlet statement provided by candidate)
  • Dan Berge (No voter's pamphlet statement provided by candidate)
  • Denyse McGriff - Voter's Pamphlet Statement (PDF)
  • Leslie Wright Jr. (No voter's pamphlet statement provided by candidate; disqualified for election, please see the July 6, 2022 City Commission meeting)

Notice of Special Election - City of Oregon City

Notice is hereby given that a Special Election for those eligible to vote in the City of Oregon City, Clackamas County, will be conducted by Clackamas County on August 23, 2022.

Notice is hereby given that there are four candidates running for 1 open seat as the Mayor of Oregon City and the successor will fulfill a vacancy with the term ending December 31, 2022.

Notice is further given that the Oregon City's Election Officer submitted the following names for the ballot:

  • Allen Bedore
  • Daniel Berge
  • Denyse McGriff
  • Leslie Wright Jr. (this candidate has been disqualified from this election)
