The Oregon City Municipal Code Chapter 15.28 has limits on the location, quantity, size, and material of signage allowed on both public and private property. The last significant update to the Oregon City Sign Code was in 2015, however, residents and business owners often have questions about when signs require permits.
The Planning Division reviews applications for signs on private property and A-frame signs on public property. Check out the Guide to Signs on Private Property (PDF) for an overview of signs allowed outright, signs requiring a permit, and prohibited signs in Oregon City.
See the Adopted Sign Code page and supporting documents for further information.
