System Development Charges (SDCs)

System Development Charges (SDCs)If you are applying for a building permit for development or redevelopment in Oregon City, SDCs are due and payable at the time of permit issuance.

SDCs are one-time fees based on the proposed new use or increase in use of a property. They apply to new construction, redevelopment of an existing use and residential projects, all of which may increase the impact to City infrastructure.

More information about SDCs including ordinances and resolutions which adopted them as well as a PowerPoint presentation from the City's Collaborative SDC Forum (PDF) held on September 24, 2015, are available in the Supporting Documents section of this page and in a SDC Forum Presentation YouTube video.

Note: Depending on the project, SDCs may increase a project's budget substantially. It is important to determine the impact of SDC fees as early as possible in the process.

SDC sheets for the following residential development types are available:

  • Single-family
  • Multi-family/Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU)
  • Duplex Dwelling Unit
  • Townhome/Condo
  • Manufactured Dwelling

The SDC fees to be paid for non-residential development projects require the applicant to complete the SDC Request Form (PDF) and submit to the City with the Building Permit Application for the proposed development.
