The Traffic Division of the Oregon City Police Department is committed to creating a safer community by enforcing traffic safety laws, educating our citizens, and assisting in solving traffic-related problems. This team is charged with the specific duties of serious injury accident investigation and major traffic crime investigation as well as traffic complaints generated by citizens.

A key component of this mission is to reduce injuries and deaths which occur as a result of traffic collisions. We are committed to accomplishing this by providing positive and proactive education in the field of traffic-related issues and by enforcing the traffic laws of the State of Oregon.
The Traffic Unit uses several means to conduct their mission including the use of radar speed detection devices to address identified areas of concern. Collision investigation is another primary function of the Traffic Division; Officers respond as needed to report collisions in Oregon City.
