[ARCHIVED] Aquilla Hurd-Ravich Hired As Oregon City's Community Development Director

The City of Oregon City welcomes Aquilla Hurd-Ravich as permanent Community Development Director effective February 16, 2022.  Having served as Interim Community Development Director since November 2021, she has been responsible for implementing policy on growth and development in Oregon City which includes the planning and building divisions. 

Aquilla has been helping to create vibrant communities in California and Oregon for over two decades. With a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Cal Poly Pomona and a background in nonprofit organizations, Hurd-Ravich is committed to serving communities through local government. She volunteers for the non-profit organization Healthy Living Communities and the Northwest Women's Leadership Academy, a program dedicated to advancing women from a variety of backgrounds in local government into leadership roles. 

Formerly the Community Development Director for Tualatin, Aquilla led a team of planners, analysts, and economic development professionals, she oversaw the planning of expansion areas, tourism programming, zoning code updates, housing needs analysis, economic opportunity analysis, and the reorganization of the Community Development Department. 

Aquilla enjoys spending time with her husband, their two boys, family dog, and her parents. They enjoy traveling, winter sports, baseball and movies together.
