715 7th Street

Located on the corner of the block, this two story funeral house has a complex plan formed around the original Queen Anne house. It appears that a flat roof addition, with exposed rafter tails, was added to the east façade of the original building, extending it to the sidewalk. The walls of this addition are clad in stone and houses the main entrance door. Another addition to the west façade has a shallow gable roof with a stepped parapet. The walls of this addition are covered with vertical wood siding. The exposed portion of the original building has a gable roof, and the walls are clad with drop siding or vertical siding. Numerous posts support the roof of this portion of the building. The flat roof is built-up and is lined with a stepped parapet. The concrete block walls are covered with stucco. Windows are primarily large fixed-pane and 1/1 wood doublehung windows. The west façade addition has multi-pane fixed windows. A stone retaining wall is at the sidewalk on the east and south sides of the lot.
