Oregon City Sign Code

After nearly 20 years without a significant change, Oregon City has updated our sign regulations to better meet the needs of Oregon City residents and businesses now and into the future. The Oregon City Municipal Code currently has limitations on the type, quantity, size, and material of signage allowed on public and private property. We have partnered with the community to adopt changes to the regulations which will be effective November 1, 2015.

We are pleased to announce the City Commission approved the sign code amendments!  The amendments, effective November 1, 2015, may be found here.  Thank you to all of those whom volunteered their time to be a part of this project!

Please note the City will not consider regulations regarding the content of a sign.  Impermissible content-based regulations would include anything that focuses on the message of the sign such as “For Sale,” or any social or political commentary expressed on the sign.
