NOTICE: The City of Oregon City is now accepting Business Licenses on-line. Please follow the instructions below to access the Licensing Portal.
Renewal notices will go out in November via email to registered businesses. All businesses should use the email address that was used when the registration was originally completed. To confirm the registered email address or to update the email address, please send a request to licensing@orcity.org. Please include the business license # and the email address you wish to use for the on-line portal registration.

Who Needs a Business License
All Businesses and Individuals that are conducting business inside the City Limits of Oregon City are required by Municipal Code, Title 5, Chapter 5.04, to obtain an Oregon City Business License before doing business. In addition, all Businesses and Individuals operating within the City limits must comply with the City's Building, Zoning, Fire and Police safety requirements. It is the responsibility of the licensee to comply with zoning regulations of the City Code.
How Long Business Licenses are Effective
New business licenses are prorated based on the remaining months in the year. Thereafter, the renewal period is from December 1st to January 31st.
