City Commission Adopts the McLoughlin Blvd Enhancements (Phase 3)
The City of Oregon City has spent the past year investigating ways to improve walking and biking access along McLoughlin Blvd/99E. This project focused on finding the best conceptual approach for the final Phase 3 of the McLoughlin Blvd Enhancement Plan along the viaduct portion of the highway. This month, the City Commission adopted the proposed long-span alignment as the preferred alternative in the City's Transportation System Plan.
A big thank you to everyone who participated in the conceptual design process by sharing your comments, questions, and suggestions. Your contributions were invaluable in helping us better understand the community’s vision for this area.
While much work remains, adopting the concept allows us to continue the conversation and seek out future funding opportunities.
Staff submitted two Metro Regional Flexible Funds Allocation (RFFA) grant applications to fund the next phase of the design and construction work. Look for an article this spring letting you know how to provide comments to the regional grant reviewers. Visit the project page for more details.
