[ARCHIVED] Thid Biz Pod Cohort To Graduate

biz pod for press release

Oregon City will soon be welcoming its newest batch of Biz Pod graduates.

Biz Pod was created in 2023 to help owners of startups and newer businesses within the community navigate the pitfalls that can often befall young companies.

Designed as a small, exclusive group, each cohort was comprised of six entrepreneurs each, who received technical counseling and training, support and funding to help turn their ideas into successful businesses. Topics covered include essentials such as finances, resilience/efficiency and marketing.

Each participant also received one-on-one time with a business mentor. Those who successfully complete the program get a one-time grant of $3000 to help get their business off the ground.

“This program helps strengthen our business community,” said Economic Development Manager James Graham. “By helping to create a diverse array of locally owned and operated businesses, we’re providing more opportunities for job growth in Oregon City.”

The graduation ceremony will be held on Dec. 11.
