These permits are often referred to as MEP permits and have for several years been obtained for work in the City of Oregon City through the State of Oregon Building Codes Division (BCD).
As of January1, 2025, BCD will no longer be processing MEP permits. The City of Oregon City is in the process of updating the Customer Portal of our permit processing program, and as part of this update, the MEP permits are the first to be able to be issued through this new process where all applications, plans and related documents will be submitted through the Customer Portal.
This is an exciting time for the Building Division and we look forward to processing these permits as well as others that will come online throughout the coming year as we move to fully electronic submittals as well as electronic plan reviews through Bluebeam Studio.
This has been and continues to be a large undertaking that both internal staff and our consultants have diligently been working towards for several months.
